This provides students with opportunities to explore connections between subjects. Students also explore project-based and academic service-learning projects.

Hands-on, Minds-on Philosophy

At Kaleidoscope Charter School, a ‘hands-on, minds-on’ approach to student education is taken. Class sizes are kept small so that each child feels like they are part of a caring community.

Integrate curriculum across subjects
Use of creative classroom teaching aids
Field trips for all grade levels using our community and environment as a classroom

Family Involvement

Current research shows the positive value of parental involvement in a student’s success in school. Families of enrolled students are expected to provide at least 20 hours of service annually. Time may be spent volunteering in the classroom, assisting during lunch and recess, library aid work, field trip chaperones, helping at school-wide events and working on community service-projects.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Kaleidoscope Charter School’s staff serves as advisors on a number of programs that help enrich our student’s academic experience.
