Reading is the Greatest Super Power of All!

Reading is Out of This World!

Scholastic Book Fair: Fri., Nov. 4th through Fri., Nov. 11th

Our Scholastic Book Fair is blasting off on Friday, November 4th, just in time for Grandparents' Day!

Grandparents and Special Guests are invited to shop the fair before and after their classroom visits during the day on Friday, Nov. 4th.

There will be a limited Book Fair on Mon., Tues., and Wed. Students may come down with their class after 11am to make their wish list and shop. We will also be open after school until around 3pm.

The full Fair will be up and running again during conferences on Thurs. and Fri., the 10th and 11th.

We are always looking for volunteers to work shifts in the library. Parents usually work 2 to 3 hour shifts once a week, but we are very flexible! Duties include checking books in and out, shelving books, cleaning up, and assisting students. You can choose to come in during your student's library time if you'd like. This is a fun way to get your family volunteer hours in! And there are perks -- all the books you can read! Please contact Julie Simmons at 612-720-3217 if you are interested in helping out in the coolest place at school!

Students check out 2 books each week and return them the following week. They may renew books unless someone is waiting for those titles. Students with lost books will be assessed a fee to replace the books. All students are welcome to stop in before and after school to quickly check in/out books.

We have many great titles (Like Percy Jackson, Alex Rider, Hunger Games, and Maximum Ride) that are suitable for our Middle School students! Please encourage your middle schoolers to check out our selection and to submit requests. We want to stock our shelves with the books they want to read! Middle School students are encouraged to come in and read quietly during their lunch hour.

For more information on the library, to discuss a late notice or lost book fee, or to volunteer in the library, please contact Julie Simmons @ 612-720-3217, or the library @ 428-1890 ext 231.
